I can’t help it… I still feel that childlike anticipation when it comes to Christmas. Finding ways to share that feeling with my grandkids makes me happy! 🙂
How can we share with our grandkids what Christmas means to us?
We can share the joy of Christmas with our grandkids by providing them fun activities that explain the true meaning of Christmas.
My sister worked at our local Christian bookstore for more than 30 years. Since it is now closed (like so many bookstores), I miss being able to browse through the many Christmas items and books.
Luckily, we have the internet! And lots of great choices!
Here are some of my top picks to help explain the true meaning of Christmas to the grandkids.

Start with the story
During the Advent season, begin reading the story of your shepherd’s journey and let the fun begin every day as you hide your shepherd for the kids to find in a different place each day. His journey ends on Christmas day as your shepherd finds his way to the manger.
Add to the fun with The Shepherd of the Search CD! The CD includes traditional Christmas songs (along with a couple of fun new songs) and the reading of the Christmas Story read by children just like themselves.
Support the story through play
Kids learn through play. Why not provide them with nativity sets that they can play with? Encourage them to use their other favorite toys to come worship the newborn King.
