Help! It’s February, and the little ones are restless! So, let’s get messy and get out some PAINT! Next question… what do we paint? I know! ROCKS! We can be artists and we love Rock Painting!

Step 1 – Choose some rocks. We went out into the garden area of the yard and found some nice smooth rocks, along with some interesting shapes.
Step 2 – Wash the rocks. Paint won’t stick to dirt. Let them dry thoroughly.
Step 3 – Get out the paint (we used acrylic) and paint brushes. Cover the table.
Step 4 – Have fun!

There are lots of examples of great artistry on small canvases. This artist is amazing and my granddaughters were inspired by the dot-work. They tried pencil erasers and toothpicks to achieve similar effects.
