Gift Ideas for Grandparents

The best Gift Ideas for Grandparents written by a Grandmother from PeaceOfMyDay.com. Holiday | Christmas | Grandparent’s Day | #holidaygiftguidePutting together these Gift Ideas for Grandparents has been pretty easy for me, because…well… I’m a Grandma! I’m also part of the “club sandwich” generation (aging parents, adult children & grandchildren), so I have lots of experience with coming up with some different ideas for you.

If you’re lucky enough to have Grandparents in your life, show them how much cherish them! Feel free to spoil them! 🙂

Here are my recommendations.

Give to a favorite charity

This is the best gift ever! If your grandparents have everything they need, give a charitable donation to their favorite charity in their name! My suggestion is Compassion.com. You could sponsor a child in their name or check out their “Gift Catalog” for something specific.

Letters to my grandchild

Connect with your grandchild through letters. There are personal topics to write to your grandchild, the paper on which to do it, and a way to neatly fold it up and either send or give to your grandchild. I love this!

Personalized ornaments

Our family has purchased personalized picture ornaments several times over the years. We cherish these special ornaments and happy memories.

For the kitchen

Instapot’s are the latest craze! Don’t forget to pick up a cookbook to go with it.

Speaking of cookbooks, how about picking up one with recipes for two?

Fun coffee mugs are always a great gift idea! Include some Hot Chocolate mix or favorite candy.

For the house

Who wouldn’t want a new vacuum cleaner that does its thing all by itself? Robotic vacuums are awesome!

Share the smiles of the grandkids every day with a new photo frame. Make sure to fill it up with pictures of your favorite family memories!

How about a new iPad? It’s at the top of my aging mother’s wish list!

Other fun gifts

Keep cozy warm with these lovely blankets.

Who doesn’t love jewelry? Especially the kind that represents the love of family.

Whether you have a Nana, a Mimi, a Nonnie, or a Grandma, there’s a T-Shirt for it. 🙂

Still haven’t found that perfect gift? Here’s some more Grandparent ideas.

I hope this gift guide for Grandparents has inspired you and given you some good ideas. Speaking as a Nana, I would enjoy any of them! (hint, hint 😉 )

Today’s Thought

Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls.”
–Matthew 11:28-29 NLT

Two words: Be nice. As people, we already spend too much time tearing each other down and competing with one another. This is not the place for harsh criticisms or negativity. We are in this together. We're on the same team! And while I welcome ideas from readers of all walks of life, I simply ask that those ideas be expressed with respect for one another and a little (or, if the situation warrants, BIG) drop of grace.
