Don’t you love it when you try a new recipe and it turns into a “Family Favorite Recipe”? It doesn’t happen often with us (we tend to cook what we know), but when it does, everyone is happy! 🙂
There are lots of great food blogs on the internet, so it’s not always easy to find that one recipe that “speaks” to you. So, I’m sharing some of our favorite recipes.
Overnight French Toast
Found on McCormick.com
Let’s start with breakfast! I found this yummy French Toast recipe online when I was looking for something to take to a ladies brunch. Of course the recipe spoke to me! The fruit makes up for the sugar… right?!
Found on BettyCrocker.com
This recipe also has strawberries, but it pairs them with kiwi and jicama and tossed in spinach with a lovely honey-dijon dressing. We made it for Thanksgiving last year as a nice, light side.
Crockpot Broccoli Cheese Soup
Found on Pinch of Yum
We love soup! I like crockpot recipes that can be put together fairly quickly… and then taste great! This recipe is very easy and very tasty, so it’s a win-win!
Saucy BBQ Chicken & Potato Skillet
Found on KraftRecipes.com
I have to say that we were delighted by this dish. We thought it looked good, which is why we tried it. But then, everyone loved it! Now when I make it, I double the bbq sauce and the Catalina dressing, because the sauce is so yummy!
Strawberry Pretzel Dessert
Found on Sugar Apron
What list is complete without a dessert? Like us, you may have fond memories of eating strawberry-pretzel desserts from your childhood. We were thrilled to find this recipe last Christmas!
