February is just around the corner and Valentine’s Day will be here before you know it! Here are 5 Valentine’s Day kids crafts your little ones will love to make! <3
I went searching through Pinterest for some Valentine kids crafts for my granddaughters. Something we could do together that wouldn’t take too long (the 4 year old can get impatient) and that wouldn’t make too big of a mess (so Nana doesn’t get impatient!). I never cease to be amazed by creative mom’s and dad’s. These projects are easy enough for the 4 year old, and are fun and challenging enough for the 7 year old.
Heart Shaped Crayons
Found on Cherished Bliss
We have lots of broken crayons and this would be a great project to use them on! (You know, because the kids can’t use them now…because they’re broke…) Silicone baking molds are flexible, which makes removing them much easier.
Milk Bottle Stained Glass Hearts
Found on Kids Craft Room
Don’t you love a project that’s “green?” This one recycles plastic milk cartons! Plus, you get to use glue! And tear up paper! I think that’s a win-win, am I right?!
Valentine Egg Carton Lollipop Flowers
Found on Crafts by Amanda
This is another “green” project, using egg cartons and muffin pan liners. I haven’t seen anything like this before and could easily be adapted for other holidays! Make a bouquet and use as a centerpiece. I have lots of ideas for this project!
Matchbox My Little Valentine
Found on Inchmark
Using matchboxes, this is another project that could be adapted to other holidays. (Christmas advent calendar? I’m just thinking out loud…)
Marshmallow Love Bugs
Found on The Decorated Cookie
These little guys crack me up! (It doesn’t take much!) Well written instructions and thoughts on other possible candies are nicely shared by the author. Of course, I’ll have to make sure to get extra supplies to munch on while we make them!
I hope you found this article inspiring. I know I enjoyed writing it… excuse me now because I need to go play! 😉
